OEM Reflectometer used in breast cancer surgery

The LA19-14-02 offers a compact, low cost solution and will be used in a system to aid breast cancer surgery. The Reflectometer provides a means of measuring the electromagnetic characteristics of tissue in the vicinity of a removed tumour thereby allowing a fast method of determining if all diseased tissue has been removed during surgery. In this way the risk of repeat surgery is significantly reduced whilst helping to minimise removal of healthy tissue in order to speed up recovery.
